Fusion 8 Beta and Fusion 8 Studio Beta is the latest version at the time of this writing.  Many television studios and visual effects studios use Fusion which has a long history in the film industry.  It is definitely a program you will want to learn if you want to be versatile.  There is even a course on Lynda.com that walks you through compositing of a car and fire and debris.
